Williams was born abt. 1794 in the state of North Caroline. His middle name was L. which I feel is Logan or Lewis, since twice the middle name was given to his grandchildren or great grandchildren. Research thru far lived in the state of Tenn bwt. 1826-1837. Between the years 1837-1850 moved to Illinois where he is listedin the Fed cenus in 1850 with his two youngest sons. 1st child born to John L. Williams is Sarah Williams born 1826 in Tenn. ( mother's name unknown), who is a half sister to John M. & Andrew J. Williams. Children: John M. 1833 & Andrew J. 1837 both born in the state of Tenn. to unknown name of mother at this time.
