IL, Thursday, December 12, 1901: "In A Dance at 100 Years Old. Unusual Celebration of Her Birthday Anniversary. Mrs. Wilhelmina Eichenberg, living at the German old people's home in Chicago, danced and sang last Saturday, on the morning of her 100th birthday. None of the eighty-six old people at this home was as happy as she. She placed her arm about the waist of Miss Schmitthusen, the matron, and led her, a two-step. Her first words when she awoke in the morning were: "I am so happy." Mrs. Eichenberg was born in Lauenstein, Germany, December 7, 1801. Her maiden name was Linnemann. In 1825 she was married to Conrad Eichenberg, a miner." __
