IL, Thursday, February 14, 1901: "Little Edward Albert, son of William and Ellen Woodward, died February 10, aged 2 years and 5 months. His was a very untimely death. He arose happy and well Sunday morning, but sometime during the forenoon he opened a drawer and found some medicine used by his grandfather and ate about fifteen tablets. Medical assistance was sent for immediately, but the tablets had done their deadly work, and dispite all that Doctors Beavers and Kaylor could do for him he passed away about 3:30 p.m. He was a bright and healthy child and the parents are heartbroken with grief. The funeral services were conducted from the family residence by W.M. Halley, Monday, Feb. 11, at 3:30 p.m. after which interment was made in the Watson cemetery." __ On the same page: Heart Tablets Cause the Little One's Death - A very sad death occurred in the family of Mr. Will Woodward, who lives north of this city, on Sunday last. Mr. Woodward's father has been using heart tablets, and on Sunday afternoon Will Woodward's baby boy, about 3 years old, got hold of the box in which the heart tablets were kept. The tablets were sugar-coated, and the little boy had eaten quite a number of them before the fact was discovered, probably believing they were candy. __
