IL, Thursday, December 5, 1901: "Sudden Death of Mrs. Lock. Fell Dead While Visiting a Neighbor. The report reached Barry Friday evening that Mrs. Nancy Lock, who was better known by the name of Mrs. Hull, died very suddenly about noon at the residence of Mrs. William Hinch, a neighbor. When she left her home, which is about one and a half miles north of Kinderhook, she was apparently in her usual health, and seemed so when she entered Mrs. Hinch's home and greeted her. She was seated and conversing with Mrs. Hinch when she suddenly fell forward in convulsions. Dr. Aleshire was sent for at once, but before he arrived Mrs. Lock was dead. Mrs. Lock was over 70 years old and was an old resident of this county. She was the mother of Dennis Hull, of this city, who now holds a position in the Deaf and Dumb asylum at Jacksonville. The coroner of this county was notified of her death." (I am not related to this person. GW)
