You might also just try for an estate packet for that time period.

I am happy to tell you that the access to Ball's Bluff (aka Bald Bluff) Cemetery is now settled. Descendants are in the process of graveling the road and cleaning the cemetery. There are too many Sapp ancestors interred on Ball's Bluff to name in this forum. I call tell you that they are from two different, but related families. The most are from the Matthew Sapp (born 1822) family. There are some also from the William Sapp (born 1796) family. If you want to persue this further, contact me. If anyone reading this message is interested in helping with helping clean the cemetery, please reply. The cemetery is nearly three acres. The descendants doing the most of the work are from 60 to late 70's. Young help would be greatly appreciated. If interested, please contact me for further information at judyth_jones@yahoo.com.

Aug 1840, in OH. They moved to Hadley, Pke co. IL in the early 1850's, and in 1860's moved to Perry , Pike co IL. He was living with his dau. Rachel Wilkins Mercer in the 1880 Census. I assume Mary passed by then, but I have no record. He is listed in the 1900 census. I think he died soon after the census was taken, possibly Nov or Dec. 1900. I Only found a blurb in the personals in the Pike newspaper in Nov or Dec 1900 that his son , professor John ? Wilkins came from Vermont IL to his funeral . I have checked all the cem books, I've walked the McCord and Wilson Cem several times, I've walked the Wade and Seybold Cem also just in case the burial place was overlooked. His chldren and grandchildren are buried mostly in Perry. His son Milton and grandson Russel ran a grocery store in Perry, I wou! ld think that a write up would've been in the paper. i THINK Thomas parent's were John and Nancy Wilkins b. Delaware, moved OH in 19th cen. and this John died 1869 in OH. Maybe Thomas and wife wanted to be buried in OH where they were born and with their parents? Please Help
