Am a bit late with this, folks, but have William Williamson and wife Elizabeth Ann Griffin, originally from Brown Co. Ohio, lived Pike Co. 1860 and 1870 census. Sons who stayed: 1. Milton Campbell Williamson b. 18 Aug. 1844 md. 09 Aug. 1867 in Pike Co. to Francis E BRISTOW and 2) to Louisa (____) Mason. Milton died Pike Co. 14 July 1928 at Nebo and buried Hunter Cemetery. Not sure of the outcome for his wives. My notes say Francis is buried Peoria. Milton's children: Mary Catherine b. 06 June 1868 Clemma Alice b. 15 Apr. 1871 Minnie May b. 22 Jan. 1873 Elfa L. born and died 1876 Charles Newton b. 14 Jan. 1879 2. James A (Albert?) Williamson b. Aug. 1848 Ohio, married 08 Apr. 1871 to Mary E. LEWIS. He died 15 Oct 1920 at Pittsfield, Mary on 25 Sept. 1928 also Pittsfield. James' children: Leon b. 1872 Winifred b. Aug. 1873 Ethel b. Dec. 1875 Albert James b. 10 Feb. 1881 md. 06 Feb. 1906 in Pike Co. to Mattie E. MERRILL. He died 21 Oct. 1946 at Springfield. William and Elizabeth's younger children all seem to have gone to Neosho Co. Kansas. Any cousins out there? Love to hear from you..... Sandra Wamsley in Colorado
The online index of this cemetery shows a listing REEL [TAYLOR]. I believe this grave could be MARY LOUISE REEL who is reported to have died 12 June 1873. If this is Mary Louise Reel, I hope to confirm a maiden name of Taylor. Does anyone have info for this cemetery? Thanks, Richard Sanders
Mary Louise Mallory and her three year old son Charles Mallory are listed with the M.A.L. Reel family in the 1850 Pike County census. I am trying to find the relationship between Mary and either M.A.L. or his wife Charlotte Reel. I believe she was related to one of them. I do not know Mary's or Charlotte's maiden name. I believe Mary/Charles were the wife/son of Morton Mallory. Morton and son Edgar are found in the Scott County 1850 census living with Morton's father, Ambrose Mallory. (Edgar Mallory is my g-grandfather) In the 1860 census Mary has married Rezin Reel who was listed with the Reel family in the1850 census. So, either Morton is dead or there was a divorce. My goal is to learn Mary's maiden name and confirm her earlier marriage to Morton Mallory, confirming that she is my g-grandmother.
