I am looking for information on any of the above people, their ancestors and descendants. 2. I am wondering if these Bowmans are connected to the Predestinarian Baptist Bowmans who came to Illinois from Greene County, Ohio, but trace back to Quaker immigrants who came at the time of William Penn.

Hi I've been trying to track down the precise location of Clemmons Cemetery in Montezuma Twp with the eventual goal of trying to determine who owns the land now. I've got good information on the precise location except for one 'unnamed road'. I'm hoping someone local can help me with this. East of Milton, head along Pittsfield St til it meets with Montezuma Rd, and head south. Follow Montezuma as it then heads east for a bit more than half a mile. There is an unnamed road that heads north from there, and then east, and then north again, but I have not been able to find any name for that road. Clemmons Cemetery is north of thisunnamed road at about the place where the road turns east. When the road turns north again, there is a cluster of buildings that may or may not be the owners of this land. I would love to find the name of this road, if it has one. Any locals listening in that might be able to help with this? Thanks, Linda

I have previously posted a picture of Martha and her sister Eunice. You can find them in the 1850 Census of Pike, Illinois and the 1860 Census for Oregon. As well you can find their marriage in Indiana Marriages of 1850 report and also in Indiana Marriage Collection of 1800-1941 Records. These two sources are CDs that you can get or I can send you copies of the data. They had a son by the name of John Pound Applegate who married Mary Ellen Todd. John was born in Scott, IN in Washington County on 1885 and married Mary in Douglas County, Oregon. Here are two pictures of them and some of their children. /Volumes/020129_1602/My Pictures/John & Mary Applegate.jpg /Volumes/020129_1602/My Pictures/J.P. Applegate children.jpg

Yes, I do have some original information on Akin and Ingram families; both tie into my Tucker/Alsbury lines. I sent a lot of data to another Akin researcher and still have not had a reply sharing his info. He probably has more on that line, but... I will be glad to share what I have on Ingram and/or Akin... I actually have quite a bit on several Pike Co., IL families. For these specifically: John Akin married 3rd Phoebe Tucker. She was the grandmother of two Alsbury sisters who married the son (Augustus) and grandson (Joel, s/o Isom/Isham) of John and Frankie Davis. Phoebe Tucker's daughter married an Ingram; her dau married a Purcell. I don't have all my data with me right now, but will be happy to share with you.
