Yes , it will cause the actual map is hard to read so I can go to Hadley and probably find him. Pat Any Deeders listed? Thanks. Ken Schroeder Mundelein, IL kgschr@aol.com
Could the Ulry's be Emry's by someone's mistake????? I found Emry's . Pat Pat, Their name has been spelled Uhlery, Ulery, Oolry, Ulry, Ulrich and I'm imagine there have been other spellings. I'm not sure which township they lived in - these people are very hard to trace and I suspect it's because their name can be spelled so many ways. Thanks Julie

Pat, Abraham Burkhead patented land in Pike County, Twp. 4 S Range 5 W 4th Principal Meredian. This was Hadley Twp, but, I have no section #. They were there from early 1840's through 1880. After that I cannot find them. Smith Toland was listed in the census right next to them. Sorry, I have no more information. Maybe this will help. Barbara in OK

Tom some of those are there I saw them. Its hard to find them if they are not listed so I may try a different approach if I can find the time I may try to list who is in each section by townships. At any rate if you guys know where they were that helps a lot. Especiall the Burkhead and Towlson or whatever. I always have trouble finding them and don't know where they were supposed to be and the Ulry's. Could the Ulry's be Emry's by someone's mistake????? I found Emry's . I will look for your names as soon as I get home or tomorrow. Gotta go make a Christmas call when I want to play on the computer. Pat
PAT, Could you please check 1872 section for Robert BOWMAN. Robert has been a difficult guy to locate after 1860! I believe his 1st wife, Sarah BRAWDY, died in the 1860's while Robert was serving in the Union Army. His kids, Mary Elizabeth and William BOWMAN, must have been taken in by relatives as Robert seems to have drifted around Pike Co. until his 2nd marriage to Mary Ann HULL in 1882. Robert BOWMAN seems to have died in 1906, and is buried in Pike Co., but 2nd wife Mary lived until 1915 and she might be in the 1912 section of the Atlas. Glad you had a Merry Xmas. After 17 guests last night and 12 for today, they have finally all gone. Boy am I tired, and ready to sit down with my quiet friend (my "puter) and relax. Pat, will you look in your new Atlas for both Burkhead and Toland? Burkhead in Hadley Twp. and maybe Toldand in Hadley and or New Salem. If you are as tired as I am I can wait, but will appreciate the help, when you feel like it.. Barbara in OK, where it was gorgeous today, like Spring.
Pat, In your 1872 and 1912 Atlas' do you find any Neese names. I know that Henry Neese was in the Springcreek Twp. He died and was buried in 1880 in Springcreek Twp on his farm land. Are there any other Neese family members mentioned in those books? Thanks. Judy Allen Neese.
