    2. Gross, Angela
    3. Hi all, IM asking those of you living in the Pike County area for some help. I recently received word that a Smith was killed in a car accident . I believe he was from Neo. I don't know his first name but that he was married to a friend of mine from high school in Pleasant Hill her name was Angel Howdeshell. If any of you have read a obituary in the paper in last few days that might fit this , please be so kind to send me the information. I have not seen her in over 10 years but would like to send me regards should this be her husband. Thank You, Angie Davis Gross

    1. [ILPIKE] Calculating Birth/Death Dates
    2. Lise Embley
    3. My favorite method for calculating birth or death dates is to use the PAF "Date Calculator" feature. (Click on Tools, Calculate, and then enter either the birth date or death date and age.) I believe Family Tree Maker has a similar feature. PAF is still free - you can download it from the LDS FamilySearch web site. Much easier! :-) Lise

    3. Kathleen, As of this time I don't know anything of the Elizabeth Battershell who m. Jacob Bobo but am checking with another researcher about it. As for Emaline Peacock, she m/1 Samuel Battershell on 18 May 1884 Pike Co, IL. From the Barry Adage dated Thurs, May 5, 1892 - divorces granted - Emaline Battershell vs Sam Battershell. Emaline then married Sam's brother John Conaway Battershell on 14 Apr 1892 Pike Co, IL (I am assuming that Emaline had the divorce before she m. John - it was just probably published at a later date??) If I find anything further on Elizabeth Battershell m. Jacob Bobo I'll let you know. More than likely Elizabeth came from Kentucky or early Pike Co. 3. Hi Pat, No I don't have anything on a Hilda Battershell. That's why I am working on the Pike Co area for later generations of the early ones I have info on. Am hoping to run into people who may be able to share what they know in exchange for what I have on the earlier ones. If you can tell me more about her, perhaps I can link her up to an earlier generation. Thanx for any assistance. 2. My latest experience is Kane County charging high prices for the copies at the probate clerk office ... The first four pages were almost $2.00 a piece then it went down to .50 and finally a quarter when it got to 20th page. And they will not allow one to search a name themselves... One has to pay I think it was $4.00 a year for them to look at the listings. They also give a hard time to anyone who does not have a genealogy license at the circuit clerks office.... Kendall County had charged a $5.00 fee to look. Oh well... I still need to do my research but it will wait.... till I have more time.... I suppose for money too. Lorrie
