    3. No worry. In 72 years, the government will have the life history of everyone up to at least the grandparents on file and there will the a form to fill out that will allow you get it if your are related. In the mean time the politicians need to know to which race to slant their campaign. It was like when I was in business. We were not allowed to record the race of any individual, yet the government required us to report how many we had of each race. ----- Original Message ----- From: Naomi Wood <neelia@dellnet.com> To: <ILPIKE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, March 20, 2000 12:54 PM Subject: [ILPIKE] 2000 census > Are the rest of my fellow geanologists out there as disappointed in the 2000 census as I? 1. Re: [ILPIKE] McAllister Newsletter
    2. Melvin, Again I find names in your post that are scattered around in my line. I know we have discussed the McKinney line before with me not knowing if there was a connection or not. I find now that I have a Catherine Shinn McKinney - daughter of Samuel McKinney and Sarah Latham married to Peter F. Hooper. Peter is the son of John Hooper and Mary Ann Shinn. Mary Ann is the daughter of Joab and Nancy (English) Shinn who are my ggggrandparents. Lippincott is also in my line - way back. Abigail Lippincott daughter of Restore Lippincott and Hannah Shattock married James Shinn. Restore is my 7th great grandfather. Are you going to publish the newsletter on line? looking forward to hearing from you. Dorothy

    1. [ILPIKE] Cemetery Books
    2. Greetings! Would like to purchase the cemetery book volume(s) that contain the Sapp Cemetery, Summerhill Cemetery, and Pleasant Hill Cemetery and Balls Bluff Cemetery. I would really like to have a full listing of residents of each of these cemeteries. I understand they sell at Casteels Color Wheel for $10 each? Is it possible for anyone in the area to let me know the volume numbers and pick it/them up and mail them to me? Thanks so much, Melody

    1. [ILPIKE] CLARK, George Washington, Sr. burial, 1874.
    2. Could someone check to see if G. W. was buried in Pike Co? An obit would be wonderful too. George was on the Pike census for 1870 but his estate was processed (no will) in Newton Co. MO, so we're not sure if or when he moved. Come to think of it, we don't know where his son William CLARK who died in 1888 is buried either, nor even where he died. If anyone knows about him, I'd appreciate hearing. Some family members are buried in Burbridge and some in Pleasant Hill Cemeteries, so that might be a good starting place. Thanks in advance, Vanette Hamilton
