I have information on Ezekial and Dean, who I believe were brothers, and their descendants. I believe these two brothers, were brothers to my ggg grandfather, George Peterson. Was wondering if any of the other Peterson's living in that area, around that time period, are related to this family.

Surnames: Carbaugh, Trotter, Frame, Bimson, Callaway Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/kg.2ADI/1733 Message Board Post: Barry Adage, Barry, Pike Co. IL, Wednesday Feb. 9, 1916: "Margaret, daughter of John and Eveline Carbaugh, was born in Beverly township, Adams county, Ill., May 16, 1850, and departed this life January 26, 1916, aged sixty-five years, 8 months and 10 days. She leaves to mourn their loss two brothers, and three sisters, as follows: Doughlas, of Nebraska; Rev. John , of Kansas; Mrs. Lewis Trotter and Mrs. Charles Frame, of Oklahoma, and Mrs. J.E. Bimson, of Beverly. Her father, mother, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She also leaves 2 nephews and 2 nieces here, and several in the west, besides a large circle of relatives and friends. She was converted in the Baptist church at Kingston in 1875, and has lived an upright life. She was good and her acquaintance always brought a lasting friendship. She was also a charter member of the Eastern Star, Fairweather Chapter No. 446, where she had strong ties of friendship and where she will be greatly missed. ! She lived with and cared for her father and mother through their declining years, and since that time has cared for quite a number of other afflicted ones. The height of her ambition seemed to be to bring relief to suffering ones. It can be truly said of her, she came not to be ministered unto, but to minister.. On October 21, 1915, she was stricken with paralysis and has been a constant sufferer since. All that human hands could do has been done to restore her to health, but God in his wisdom has seen fit to call her home. The funeral services were held at the residence on Friday morning and were conducted by Rev. Phirman Edwards, of the Beverly M.E. church. Burial was in the Mound Prairie cemetery. L.J. Callaway was the undertaker in charge."

    1. Cavender-Chissenhall
    2. Lynn Clarke
    3. Hi, A lot of time has past since I posted last so I thought that I would take another shot. I am looking for any information about Richmond Cavender (Cavinder) born about 1805, married to Mary (Polly) Chissenhall, (Chisenhall) in 1825 at Posey County, IN. Moved to Pike County about 1830. Their children were: Martha Cavender (m: Watts) Hulda (m: Easley) James Henderson (admittedly born in Pike County) Greene Dianah (born Nashville, TN? M: Charles Clarke, my gg-grandfather) and a possible other eldest son as recorded on the 1840 census. I believe that they removed to Missouri (1840 census, Stoddard Co, MO). Richmond died between 1840 and 1847. Mary Cavender was on the 1847 Davis County, Iowa Tax List. All of the above children were born in IL except Dianah and I found an interview with Congressman, Henderson Cavender (Rep. Garnett, Kansas) which said that he was born in Pike County, IL, his father being Richmond Cavender and Mary Chisenhall. I am attempting to locate the parents of Richmond and would be grateful if anyone has information that isn't on the census or website. I have exhausted all resources that I am aware of. Thank you in advance, Have a great day! Lynn Clarke [email protected] Have a great day! Lynn Clarke
