Fee, son of David and Louisa Fee. David and Louisa and dau Emma moved to Missouri probably late 1850's and are in the 1860 census there. I don't have details in front of me to tell you exactly where in MO. David is buried in Hall cemetery in Cedar County MO. but I have been unable to locate Louisa's grave even though it is listed in a Pike Co., IL cem. The old cem records only indicate who bought the lots--not who is buried in them. Would love to hear from you, what you have and would be happy to share more detailed information at a later time. Am preparing to leave home for a week and don't have time right now to send all I have. I do have a copy of A History of the Fee Family by Pearson for reference. Although I do not trust it implicitly since I have found several errors in our line that I can document or are so recent that I can remember. Feel free to email at [email protected] . I also have a little on Louisa's parents/siblings along with pictures of where some are buried. Donna

IL, Wed., Feb. 9, 1916 (in part): "Mrs. Mary Kelly White departed this life at 10pm Feb. 1, 1916, at her home in Barry. The cause of death was heart trouble. Mrs. White was born March 8, 1853 near Pittsfield, Ill., being 62 years, 10 months and 21 days of age at the time of death. She was the daughter of Nathan and Sarah (Fuller) Kelly. On November 20, 1872, she was united in marriage with Joseph McFarland at Pittsfield. Mr. McFarland died July 14, 1879 and on January 9, 1881 she married William F. White, who survives her. The deceased is also survived by two daughters, Sarah (McFarland) Fox, of New Canton; Bertha E. Ridenour, of Barry, Ill; and one son, Grover Leslie White, of New Canton, also one stepson, Guss W. White, of Urbana, Ill. Two daughters and one son preceded her to the grave, Laura May White, Mattie McFarland and Nathan McFarland. Mrs. White is mourned by three brothers and four sisters, R.A. Kelly, of Petersburg, Ill.; Ge! orge and William Kelly, of Pittsfield; Mrs. Robert Hunter, of Pittsfied; Mrs. Maggie Fruit? of Aspen, Col.; Mrs. Eliza Delahey of Jefferson City, Mo., and Mrs. Nancie Blair of Barry. Six grandchildren also survive her. Mrs. White has been a faithful member of the Christian church from early youth, having first united with the church at Pittsfield during the pastorate of Rev. Cannon. For over thirty years the church at Barry has felt the influence of her life. She freely gave the best years of her life in service for her family and the cause of righteousness. Loyal and true as a wife and mother, she was careful that her children should be brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Both by teaching and example they were taught to be loyal to the faith and service of their church so that from childhood they were able to give a ready answer as to their chosen faith.

Now..., I'm wondering if there is a list of their holdings online. Or does anyone know if they might have Chicago Newspapers from about 1937? Thanks Annette

I am reposting my message as I don't think that it posted the first time. Hi, A lot of time has past since I posted last so I thought that I would take another shot. I am looking for any information about Richmond Cavender (Cavinder) born about 1805, married to Mary (Polly) Chissenhall, (Chisenhall) in 1825 at Posey County, IN. Moved to Pike County about 1830. Their children were: Martha Cavender (m: Watts) Hulda (m: Easley) James Henderson (admittedly born in Pike County) Greene Dianah (born Nashville, TN? M: Charles Clarke, my gg-grandfather) and a possible other eldest son as recorded on the 1840 census. I believe that they removed to Missouri (1840 census, Stoddard Co, MO). Richmond died between 1840 and 1847. Mary Cavender was on the 1847 Davis County, Iowa Tax List. All of the above children were born in IL except Dianah and I found an interview with Congressman, Henderson Cavender (Rep. Garnett, Kansas) which said that he was born in Pike County, IL, his father being Richmond Cavender and mother Mary Chisenhall. I am attempting to locate the parents of Richmond and would be grateful if anyone has information that isn't on the census or Pike website. I have exhausted all resources that I am aware of. Thank you in advance, Have a great day! Lynn Clarke [email protected]
