>I sent this message to Washington County but since most of my Wynn ancestors lived in Perry County I am in hopes that someone in Perry County might be able to help me out. >Is anyone researching the surname Junger? After a visit to the Washington County Court House I discovered that I have problem with the copies of the marriage register that I obtained. I am researching the surname Wynn/Wynne/Winn. I have copies of Samuel Wynn marrying three different times. The first marriage to Martha Lemmons in 1848, The second marriage to Anna Junger in November of 1881 and the third to Melissa D. King Qualls. My problem is this: >PAGE 53 BOOK D ># of License 7 Date of License Jan 25 1882 married November 24, 1881 at Nashville, Illinois >Samuel Wynn of Perry Co. Ill occupation: Farmer Age:55 years Race/Color: white caucasion, Place of Birth:Ohio, parents: Samuel Wynn, McGuire, 2nd marriage > >Bride Anna M.Junger of Dormstadt, Ill Age: 20 years Race/Color: White Caucasion, Place of birth: Illinois, Parents George Junger & Anna M. Altruesberger (sp?), 1st marriage, married at Nashville, Illinois 24 Nov, 1881. > >PAGE 55 BOOK D ># of License 7 Date of License Jan 25 1882, married January 26, 1882 at DuBois, Illinois >Samuel Wynn of Perry Co. Ill occupation: Farmer Age:55 years Race/Color: white caucasion, Place of Birth:Ohio, parents: Samuel Wynn, McGuire, 2nd marriage > >Bride Melissa D. King Qualls, DuBois, Illinois, Age: 36 years Race/Color: White/Caucasion, Place of Birth:N. Carolina, Parents: John Qualls & Elizabeth R???don, 2nd marriage > >If you will notice the Grooms information is identical for both marriages, but, the Brides information is different. Also the Date of issue for the license is after the marriage of Samuel to Anna Junger. I have also noticed that all information is identical on both sheets for all Grooms listed along with Samuel. I believe that Samuel did not marry Anna Junger. That some how duplicate informations was recorded. Since the index to the records also showed Samuel marrying both Anna & Melissa, I know the clerk didn't just copy the wrong page. > >I would like to find out who Anna Junger actually married. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. > >Debbie Wynn Martin
