I'm looking for information on the children of Edward Garrett Harriss, son of Johnson Harriss. Edward married Polly Morris. Does anyone know the names of the children of Edward G. Harriss and Polly Morris? The only child of theirs known by name is their son John Carroll Harriss (called Carroll) who married Martha A. Gilliam, daughter of Braddock Harris Gilliam and Mahalia Morris. In 1890 Edward's brother John Harriss wrote: "Edward G. Harriss was married to Polly Morriss and several children were born to them. Then they moved to the state of Louisiana. There he died and his children scattered into Texas and some are yet living. The wife died in Texas, they having married in Franklin County, Tennessee." Edward Garrett Harriss & Polly Morriss had several children born in Franklin Co. TN. They moved to Louisiana where he died. The family moved on to Texas. That is all the information I have.
