Happy New Year to everyone I think a roll call for 2006 would be good to start the year. There will be some rules to post a roll call to Perry Co IL mail list. This will help new subscribers find those subscribed to the Perry Co IL mail list researching the same surnames. First do not type ROLL CALL anywhere no one is going to go thru 150 emails with the subject: ROLL CALL. I won't, here is the way to post it to Perry Co IL mail list. 1. In your subject line type your surnames: Casey, Hill, Tolley, Schribner 2. Message must contain the words Perry Co IL 3. Only the surnames you research in Perry Co IL should be in the subject line.My suggestion is to use families grouped together such as I did above, Casey, Hill, Tolley, Schribner. Then maybe another email with other surnames from a differnt group of families you research , I think the subject should be no more than 6 surnames per email to the mail list. These surnames are for example they were not in Perry Co IL to my knowledge Example: Subject: Casey, Hill, Tolley, Schribner Levi Casey migrated from Ky to Bond Co IL abt 1818 then moved to Perry Co IL, he married Chloe Hill. I would like to share information with any Casey or Hill researcher. I know there were marriages into the Tolley and Schribner families and would like to share info with those researching Tolley and Schribner. Who, What and Where and When are the key to a good subject line for posting to the mail list. example: Subject:Casey/Census Lookup/Perry Co IL/1840 Notice I put Census Lookup hopefully someone on the list can help me with my lookup, same would go for a marriage lookup, obit lookup. If I was going to post an obituary Subject: John Casey/Obituary Post/Duqoin IL/1888 I am not asking for a lookup I am posting a obit. I am posting these suggestions to help in 2006 your research to be productive, remember rootsweb does archive the messages and a surname should always be used in your subject line. Hope you all find these tips helpful. Tim Casey Perry Co IL Mail list adminstrator.
I am looking for information regarding Elizabeth Huggins daughter of Robert Huggins & Catherine Liveley. Elizabeth married John Davis in 1830, Perry County. They had at least 3 children, Patrick, William & Mary (Polly). Patrick married Martha Sanders and Mary married John Sanders (whom I believe to be Martha's brother). I believe there was another child born to this union namely Thomas Robert Davis. Anyone familiar with this group? Madonna Davis Marks --------------------------------- Yahoo!
