William C. Hirsch was born in Prussia in September 1836, and immigrated to the United States in 1862 at age 26. his wife Anna Maria Wentsch was born in Wurtenburg in August 1846, and immigrated in 1857 at 11 years old. They married in 4 May,1866 in Honeoye, Ontario County, New York when Anna was 20, and by 1890, Anna is listed as having had 9 children, 8 of which survived to adulthood. Their first daughter Mary Berintha was born in Honeoye, 01 Feb 1867. Their second child Anna L. was born 22 Mar 1870 in either New York, or SW of Du Quoin, Perry Co., IL. They were definitely in Perry Co., IL before 16 September 1871 when Anna L. drowned in a well . William Charles b. 10 August 1872 Amelia Helen b. 28 April 1875, Herman John b. 12 April 1877 (my grandfather); Louis Henry b. 12 April 1879, Barbara Agnes b. 20 September 1881, Minnie Louise b. 2 January 1885 and George Logan b. 7 September 1887. Many of these lived out their lives in Perry Co., IL. Herman John married Anna Marie (Mary Ann) Woll daughter of Adam and Carolina (Lena)Woll on 12 October 1905. Lena was the daughter of Michael and Catherine (Unknown) Schumacher. Adam Woll was born 18 June 1841 in Germany,he immigrated to the United States in 1873. Lena was born 26 December 1860 in Perry County, IL. They married 13 May 1875 in Perry Co., IL, they were the parents of 11 children. Julie Tillie b. 4 February 1884, Anna Maria b. 29 January 1886, Joseph Jacob b. 24 January 1888, Susan Caroline b. 6 April 1890, Charlie b. 27 Oct. 1895, Adolph B. 27 October 1895 and Tillie Emma b. 11 May 1900. Michael Schumacher was born about 1827 in Germany, Catherine (Unknown) b. about 1834. They married 18 September 1851 in St. Clair Co., IL. Their children were: Adam b. August 1854, Catherine b. about 1855, Theresa b. about 1858, Elizabeth b. about 1859, Carolina (Lena) b. 26 December 1860, Michael b. about 186e, Eva b. about 1865, Joseph b. about 1868, Sophia b. about 1870 and Adolph b. about 1872.
