HELP, I am looking for Alexander McClure who came out of South Carolina around 1830 and moved his family to Illinois. I have been told he is possible from the line of William Christian McClure born 1727 County Donegal, Ireland who came to America with a group of Protestants around 1760 or William's son John McClure who married Eleanor Sturmont in 1803 in Chester County, South Carolina. Does any one have any information on this McClure line and was there a Alexander. Thank you, Ira McClure
