Hi, I am new to the list. I am hoping that I can share information and gain information on my husband's family who lived in Perry Co., IL. LaFayette Parsons moved to Perry Co. around 1860 from Ontario Co., NY. He married Harriet E. Florer May 25, 1872 there in Perry Co. They were married by Rev. W. Sanford Gee. Four of their six children were born in Perry Co. Harriet (Hattie) Florer was born in Montgomery Co., IN. We believe she was living with her uncle Jared Merwin Stone and his family. J. W. Stone was a professor at the Dequoin Seminary. He died October 10, 1876 in Duquoin, Perry Co., IL. Hattie and LaFayette Parsons moved and settled in Ellis Co., TX in the 1890's. Does anyone have any information on the Parsons or Stone family? What type of school was Dequoin Seminary? Thank you, Ellen Parsons
