Harleigh and Sandy Winkler - I have limited info, but what I have in my Steele file is as follows: JEFFERSON STEELE was born August 10, 1817, near Steeleville, Randolph Co., IL, and died March 5,1871, Steeleville, IL.. He was the son of Archibald and Elizabeth (Flack) Steele. (Archibald was the eldest son of Captain John Steele, the first settler in Steeleville). He married in Randolph Co., April 28, 1842, Nancy T. Gardner. The known children I have listed (no dates or other info): SEBRUM STEELE - LAFAYETTE STEELE - and ARCHIBALD STEELE. Hope this helps some - Jane
