My grandfather, John Quincy Adams, had a brother by the name of Roy Adams. John and Roy were both born in Union County, IL, but John Quincy married Myrtle Adams of DuQuoin, IL, and after his marriage, lived in DuQuoin. >From what I understand, Roy lived in DuQuoin or the outlying area, also. I don't know when he actually moved to DuQuoin, but I'm pretty certain he lived there. John Quincy died in a freak accident in 1929, but I do believe that Roy was still living in the 1960's and possibly the 1970's. Has anyone ever heard of Roy Adams or who he was married to? Any old phone directories out there that he might be listed in? I have a cousin who remembers visiting him(possibly on a farm) in the 60's or 70's. He was quite elderly at the time. Any clues?
