Well thank you to Cindy Mounce for her generous donation of her indexes of obituaries between the years of 1867 to 1925 (some are not on line yet, please be patient). This is an index only but gives excellent information on obtaining the actual obituary. With this addition I have gotten brave enough to insert a search engine on the main Perry County Page. I will keep the search engine updated as I upload the remaining years. Please check it out and see if you can find your missing family member or just more information about them. I also would like to see if anyone has any of the news articles relating to the "cyclone" that struck Mount Vernon in February 1888. I was fascinated to see the number of deaths attributed to the cyclone and would love to get more information on it. Please I also would like everyone to submit information (i.e. obituaries, marriage licenses, etc.) for the site. This site has been really quiet lately and since I am now at home all day I think we can really beef up the pages and add valuable information.
