Might any one know if the records of the Perry County Poor Farm exist and would they be stored at the courthouse? I am looking for a death date of Joel Crain who was enumerated as an "inmate" in the Poor Farm in the 1910 census of Perry County. He is not in the Illinois Death Index, which starts in 1916. It is likely he died between 1910 and 1916. It is possible that if the records exist they might have a death date. Randy Crain Paducah, KY

Randy, Joel Crain is not listed in the cemetery records for the Poor Farm. In vitals there is a CRANE, no first name and no parents listed who died on May 4, 1910. There is a J. L. Crane b. 185 - d. 1930 buried in the Tamaroa Cemetery. I don't find him listed in any of the other cemetery records.
