    3. Doug, You would need to visit the LDS FHC and fill out a request form and pay a fee for each microfilm. I'm not sure of the fee anymore, but I think it used to be about $5.00 for each roll. It's been awhile since I've used an FHC, but as I recall it would take about 3 weeks for the film to arrive after you requested it, then you'd have it available for 1 or 2 months and could extend it longer if you wished (for an additional fee). I've had the good fortune to live or be able to travel to the counties I've needed to research, but I've especially found the LDS FHC microfilms valuable in searching overseas records. They do have some data online, check their website at www.familysearch.org . I'm not a member of the LDS nor do I make any judgement on their religious beliefs. They are an excellent resource for genealogist, although ALWAYS check the source of their data as much has been contributed by other researchers (both good and bad).
