Hi all, I have recently subscribed to this list and thought perhaps it was time to ask for some help. I began researching the ELDRIDGE family line about a year ago (Yes - Im fairly new to genealogy as well) and have hit some dead-ends. Any help or leads you all can give would be greatly appreciated. Robert ELDRIDGE was born in TN in Nov. 1849. In Nov. 1871, he married Catherine HILL in St.Clair County, IL. (In-between, we dont know where he was). At some point after his marriage, he moved to Perry County where he lived the rest of his life. Robert and Catherine had 10 children (Nancy Parthenia,George Samuel, Ada Diane, Jonathan Elza, Lottattie,Millard Jesse, Robert Spencer, Mirza Duane,Clarence Glen (my grandfather), and Vera Velina) I have many of the descendants of Robert and Catherine but am looking for brothers/sisters/parents of them both as well as any other info/stories anyone has on the Eldridges in Perry County. I do know that Catherine's parents died while she was young and that she was raised by a guardian but do not know how they died, when, where or who they were. I noticed in the 1900 census that there are several ELDRIDGES listed in Perry County...I don't know how or if they are related to my line but a few were born in TN or had parents born in TN which we also know to be true of Robert so perhaps they are related?.
