    3. There has been a major problem with certain lists on Rootsweb since last Friday. This list is one of the ones that was involved in the Crashed Server. We are again up and running. I have a favor to ask each of you. You are going to begin in a little while receiving all the messages that have been backing up in the system since last Friday. Please be understanding, USE YOUR DELETE KEY, yelling and screaming will not stop it. I will have messages coming to me from 5 lists hitting me all at once along with bouncing messages and messages from those of you asking for help. If you have asked to be unsubscribed, that request was most likely never received. Please understand that even if I unsubscribe you now, I cannot stop what you are going to receive. If the lists do not look the same, meaning the headers are gone. I will bo back and take care of that when this flood is over. Good luck and I look forward to getting back to normal when the sun is shinning again. 1. [ILPERRY] Mary French Davis
    2. Nancy Helvey
    3. Hi List, Could anyone tell me where a Mary French Davis is buried in Perry CO.? She "died" ca. 1880-1900. Her husband was Hiram Davis b. 1851, probable son of Hiram Davis and Nancy Viers Tyler Davis. This family was from the Gallia CO. OH area. There might have been a divorce between Mary French Davis and her husband Hiram. The record is unclear right now. Thanks, Nancy Helvey

Perry Co. ILLinois http://www.iltrails.org/perry/ Kaskaskia, ILLinois http://www.iltrails.org/kaskaskia/ Monroe Co. ILLinois http://www.iltrails.org/monroe/ Jean, I appreciate all of your hard work, as I am sure the other list members do. I wanted to let you know that the all 3 links above work okay for me using Internet Explore 4.71; however, I can't get anything to come up for Perry County using Netscape Communicator 4.76. I just get a blank page with the words "Document Done" in the bar at the bottom. The Kaskaskia and Monroe sites come up using Netscape, but some of the images are not shown - for example, the "Illinois Trails" at the top of the page and the two "bridge construction" photos below the update message on the Kaskaskia page do not display. This is a pretty recent version of Netscape, and I am not having any other problems at the moment. Perhaps others could comment as to whether they have the same problems. Best Regards, Bill Troutt in Katy, TX - Researching Frederick Jacob & Lillie Mae (KINCAID) GRAF in or near DuQuoin in the 1880's.

    3. Thanks, Peg. That sounds like a reasonable possibility. Funny how I've heard the song about the 12 days of Christmas all my life and never questioned what it was really about!! By the way, in a book of burial listings for Dent Co. MO and some surrounding areas, I found the following listed buried in Asher Cemetery (supposed to be in Seaton community on hwy. 68 in Phelps Co. MO): William Luthy 5-28-1814 8-8-1882 Mary A. Luthy, widow of William, 10-21-1821 1-18-1909 Thought I'd pass it on to you just in case....... 2. Jewell
    3. I apologize if this is not "genealogy related", but it is to me. My mother was born in 1912, her grandfather came from Scotland to Perry Co. IL. She said that when she was a little girl, they celebrated "Old Christmas". If memory serves, it was sometime up in January, but I can't remember any more than that. If anyone knows anything about Old Christmas, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks, Jewell - ------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Photos - Share your holiday photos online!

    1. [ILPERRY] J.J. Bischoff
    2. Hello List, Trusting that all of you had a very Merry Christmas! I am looking for information on a "Mrs. J.J. Bischoff". She was the sister of my G Grandfather, Patrick McCormick of St.Louis, MO. She is mentioned in the 1917 obituary of Patrick McCormick as being his sister and living in Pinckneyville, IL at the time of his death. I am interested in any information that I can find on her in hopes that it will give me more leads on the "McCormick family". Thank you very much.
