I don't know if E.C. Burhans is any relation. Burhans is the adopted name. She and her brother were adopted by Dilazon Burhans in 1925. I am trying to find out who their birth parents were. Her brother Frank was born in St. Louis but both were raised in Peoria. In 1941 Kathryn was living at 412 Sixth Street. In 1938 they were living at 813 Fifth Street (according to SS info). This is my "brick wall". The obit advice is a good idea. I will work on that for now.
