    1. [ILPEORIA-L] Peoria Industrial School for Girls--QUAIF(F) family
    2. Roger Stegall
    3. Does anyone have any information or ideas what this school was? I found three girls, assumedly sisters, at the school in the 1900 census (Peoria County, Peoria Township), ages 7 (twins) and 11, Flora, Nora, and Mary QUAIF. The address of the school was 415 Richmond Ave., N. Peoria. The girls were listed as "inmates." I'm supposing that word had a different connotation than it does in our time! There were about 20 or so girls listed. Also found William R. QUAIF listed in the 1914 Peoria city directory with occupation as "express." Any ideas as to what that means? Thanks in advance for your help. Linda
