Boy, I will tell you, for a year I have searched only Knox Co., stupid me. I have James A. Adams b. 1831-32 in IL. m. Amelia Jones 1854 Knox Co., IL. I believe he has a brother Alfred because they lived next door in 1870 in Knox co. and their ages were just a couple years different. Both list their place of birth in IL. I believe their father to be James Adams who is listed on the 1840 Peoria census. I am going to take the info you gave and check date feasibility and do some more research. You are the first person I have found researching this line. I was beginning to think I was the only descendent. I have lots of info from James A. Adams down.
