    1. [ILPEORIA-L] Family bible reveals new Peoria names
    2. Warren and Vera Distler
    3. I've posted a few surnames on this list. They were either DISTLER or SAUPE. While searching for some stock certificates, my mother came across a mother load of names from the Peoria area. I will list them below in hopes that some of you might help put more of my family pieces together. To the best of my knowledge, the entries I have were last updated in the late 1950's. Minnie Distler married Fred Kaemmerling. They had four sons Fred, William, Gus and Herman along with three daughters Minnie, Norma and Louise. Louise married a man named Workley and had a son Ivan. John Distler married Mary Robinson and had one son William and three daughters Myrtle, Cora and Iva. Cora Distler married Lester Mendenhall of Dunlap, IL. They had three daughters, Marjorie and Lucile and Harriett. Lucile taught in a Peoria School for many years. The last address I had for Mrs. Lester (Cora) Mendenhall was Princeville, IL. Andrew Distler married Mary Sipp. They had a son Fred and two daughters Fronie and Florence. Fronie married a man named Buchanan. They had a son Robert. I have an unnamed daughter of Phillip and Fredricka Distler who married a man named Harben or Harbers. This family owned a construction company in Peoria on North Adams or North Jefferson near upper river bridge? Mary Louise (Mamie) Distler, daughter of Paul Valentine Distler married Henry Doering July 31, 1917. They had a son, Robert Distler Doering born Feb. 23, 1925 and a daughter Louann born Dec. 12, 1929. Anna Distler, Daughter of Paul Valentine Distler married Howard Kellie Dec. 24, 1925. Robert Doering married Elaine Gavin Apr. 27, 1951. They have a son Jon and two daughters Robin Lee and Diane' Chere'. Louann Doering married John Ellis 7/3/49 and had two sons Bruce Allen and James, plus a daughter Susan Lynn. Any information on any of these families would be greatly appreciated!
