My father and I worked at CAT ....my father was there from about 1940 till his death about 1976... he was in electrical maintenance..... he had a friend OGDEN.... I think the friend resided on the south side.. somewhere in the area of GARDEN & WESTERN sts. This friend rode with my father to CAT my father worked the 4 to 11pm shift most of the time. This posting has many links to my search for my sweetheart's family. #1, his father J. Victor Crane worked at CAT from 1934 to his retirement in March 1962. At the moment, I don't have the department that he worked in. His SS application dated Nov 1936 was typed in by CAT office to create a form. Then the original message from Kevin Miller states that a "Mary Ann Lee may have later married a Robert William Stewart" - my sweetheart's mother was a Stewart and there were Bobby Stewarts all over the family. I am not sure if this particular one is family, but believe there is more than a coincidence. So, I would like to ask both Russell Zears and Kevin Miller to elaborate on their connections and statements, if at all possible !!!!!! In the meantime, I will contact family and see if I can be more confident on my information. ----- Original Message ----- From: Russell ZEARS <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, May 24, 2000 1:57 PM Subject: Re: [ILPEORIA-L] OGDEN's in Peoria > My father and I worked at CAT ....my father was there from about 1940 till > his death about 1976... he was in electrical maintenance..... he had a > friend OGDEN....
