    3. Hi List, I just found my ADAMS and JONES' in your county in 1840. I don't think they were there long because I find them in Knox Co. by 1850. What's the best way to get an 1840 census record, IRAD? I have found Leonard Jones and James Adams in the index but it didn't give any info, like # of males and females, just heads of household. Also, is there a genealogy society for this county? I am looking for a death index on James Adams, maybe a will or probate record. Thanks for any info you can supply. Judy Weaver

    3. Judy, I am also searching for ADAMS' in Peoria Co IL. I have William ADAMS, b 1814/5 in NH, m Martha CHICHESTER 1842 in Peoria Co, Ch: Albert and Alfred (twins) and possibly William and James. I do not have parents of first William. Wm m 2nd Mary Greenman 1852 in Peoria Co IL. They had a possible 9 children. My information is open for discussion. In other words, I don't know how accurate my information is except for marriage dates and place and birth of the twins on 2 Oct 1841. That date does not fit well with the first marriage date, but that is another question. I would be happy to compare notes and exchange information.
