Hello, I am new to this list and am following a new lead on the birthplace of my great grandmother, Emma KUHN VOLZ. All of the records I have found on her before today, say she was born in Woodford County, IL. Her obit. notice found today says she was born in Peoria, IL December 22, 1855. I have never looked there before. Her father was John KUHN and mother was Katrina (Katherine) BUCKENBERGER. Is there anyone with access to the 1860 census of Peoria to check this out for me? They should have a daughter Clara and dau. Emma. John and Katrina came to US on same ship in 1852, married in 1854 in NY City. and came west to IL right after the marriage. Haven't found them in 1870 census, but in 1880 and 1900 they are in Wichita kansas. 1910 they are in Oregon, where they died in 1915, 1919 Any help or suggestions sincerely appreciated, Thank you, Sharron
