Sharron~ I looked at all 5 John KUHN in IL 1860. Found this in Peoria Co, IL, I don't know if this is the right family. Nancy, thank you so much for looking this up for me. Unfortunately they don't seem to fit. John and Katherine (Katrina) were both born in Germany, but in different provinces. They met on a ship from Liverpool to NY. I can't figure out where they were in 1860 and 1870. According to the births of their children and a history of Sedgewick Co., Kansas, they lived in Illinois for 15 years. That would be from abt. 1855-1870. I can see where they might have been missed in a census, but not two. Anyway, will keep at it, thanks again, I appreciate your time.
