Birth records in a book only went back to 1850. There is an archive down stairs in the courthouse that I did not have time for. My cousin and I are going back the last of August sometime. They are wonderful people at this office. Everyone that cannot see the complete record with dates, etc., is always disappointed. The only thing I could look at was a name in several old books. There is a form you can fill out and it costs $5.00 for them to copy the record and send. Also, they can do a search for you for $7.00 and additional copies would be $4.00. No Checks!
