I'm trying to locate information on the death of Giovanni D'Incau who died in Hollis, Peoria County on May 31, 1904. The date of death was provided by the state records from the province in Italy where he was born. I requested the record from the Peoria County Clerk and was told that there was no record of his death. They also advised me that state law did not require recording at the county level until 1916 and consequently, his death may not have been recorded.
