First of all, William James Davison and Linton Henry Davison(b. 18 August 1858 Watertown, New York) were in the National Guard or State militia in 1892. In his diary he speaks of being overnight in the Armory for New Year's Eve. Later they went to Springfield with the National Guard. Any clues? Later this same William James Davison owned a candy store and lived above it in 1896. Married Katherine May Lyman in 1894. The Street Car Company, and the Central Railway Company that Linton and William worked for from 1892-1894, would they have any public records? Otto B. Lyman from Green Valley, Tazewell, Illinois, and the father to Katherine Lyman married Helen Margaret Watkins about 1871 in Peoria, Peoria, Illinois. About all that I know about Helen is that she was born in Indianna, and she died 16 January 1899. I have not been able to locate her family on the census, so I am not even sure who her parents were. There is an idea floating in the family, that her father might have built boats, I am not sure where that came from. Edwin Voss (b. 21 March 1894, d. 9 Jan 1970)owned a bicycle shop, called Voss and Brothers. It also had those new fangled motor bicycles. Adlington's moved from Pennsylvania, and as far as I can tell, they even had their ancestor moved with them and buried in Springdale Cemetery. George Torrence Adlington(b.2 Aug 1853, d. 8 Sep 1928) was a 3rd Degree Mason and taught at the Bradley Polytec University. Gladys Mary Patton, not to be undone by her husband Lyman Parker Davison who was in the OSI during WWII, was a war correspondent, and later became a publlished writer with her book, Escape to Life, a novel about a german family behind the iron curtain getting out. I am putting together a time line to better understand how these families entertwined and what was going on in Peoria. If any one has any information, or knows where I can go for more clues, Please write me! Thanks for your help, Sandy
