THIS FAMILY WAS LIVING IN PEKIN ILLINOIS IN THE 1890's WHERE 4 OF THE CHILDREN WERE BORN. George (Ell) Elbert EMMITT(my g Uncle) b. June 1853, m. First wife Flora P. HIGGINS ca 1879 Children: Robert M. b. 5 July 1880., Thomas H. b. 26 Jan.1883, and Earl EMMITT b. 1885. George divorced Flora ca. 1886. This family lived in Pike Co. OH. in the latter half of the 1800's. All the above born in Pike Co. OH. Some time after the divorce the family moved to Pekin Illinois and eventually to Terre Haute Indiana. Second Wife: m. Maude McCLURE. ca 1887 Children: Minnie FISHER b.. Nov. 1888 Pekin IL., George R. b. 7 Oct. Pekin IL, John b. 1895 Pekin IL., and Arthur EMMITT b. Oct. 1897 Pekin IL. After 1897 the family moved to Terre Haute Indiana. Eliza Jane Emmitt (my grandmother) widowed mother of George Elbert was living with the above family in Terre Haute, Vigo County IN. until her death in 1906. Her body was shipped to my Grandfather James Rufus Emmitt's home in Waverly on "North Emmitt Ave" to be buried beside her husband Robert in Evergreen Cem. in Pike Co. Waverly OH. I have searched for years and have found no living decendents of any of the above except my g grandmother Eliza Jane Emmitt. Any help with the above will be greatly appreciated.
