Hello list, I am new to the list, and am researching my Hanks line. I am searching for information on Josephine HANKS and her parents. Josephine HANKS was born in Peoria in 1850 or 1851. She was the daughter of ? Hanks and Lydia FARMER HANKS. Her father's nickname was Seymour Hanks, but Seymour was not his real name. "Seymour" fought in the Civil War from Illinois, and died at Andersonville Prison Camp. Unfortunately he enlisted under his real name, which I do not know, and was registered at Andersonville Prison Camp with the name Seymour. After his death, Lydia FARMER HANKS remarried, but I don't know who she married, which has led me to this brick wall! :( Josephine married Alfred BOURNE (AKA BOUREN) in Cook County, IL. They had one child, Walter BOUREN who was born in 1876. Other children of "Seymour" and Lydia FARMER HANKS: Antha HANKS (AKA Annie, Anne, Anna) b. 7-2-1849 in VT Rose HANKS b. 1858 Milo HANKS b. 10-1-1859 in Packwaukee, WI Hoping to make a connection with someone.
