I am having a hard time reading something on the census. I am looking at a ancestor that came from Germany to Cook co., Illinois and then the family eventually settled in this area. Her name was Anna Loesch Woerner. I finally found her on the 1900 Cook co., Illinois census 29-D Chicago, Series T623, Roll 280, page 257.... UNDER THE NAME ANNA WARNER, age 34, along with her children Jacob, Kate, Johanna and Mary. Could someone look at this line and let me know what it says under OCCUPATION, I cannot make it out. Also, where it list 1889, is that the year she came to America or does that mean the year she became a American citizen? Thanking you in advance. Sincerely, Marie in Illinois.
