The only Indian statute along a river that I am aware of is that of Chief Blackhawk which Lenardo Taft constructed in the early 1900s above the Rock River across from Oregon, IL. It sits on a high bluff on the East side of the river. It is now a state park, but in the early years that site was an artist colony. I spent four years in Peoria at Bradley University and do not remember any in that area. Mel Martin
