If you are still looking for the James Briggs obituary, you might contact the Morrison and Mary Wiley Library, 206 W. Main, Elmwood, IL 61529. The library has copies of the Elmwood newspaper that was published during that time period -- if the copy you need was not missing when the old newspapers were filmed. The library also has an e-mail address: <elmlib@elmnet.net> The ladies that work there are very nice and helpful, however, if they do not have time to do the look-up you can go to your local library and request the newspaper microfilm via inter-library loan which you can then search yourself at your own library.
