    3. Karen The "museum" in Princeville is officially known as the Princeville Heritage Center and is located at 325 N Ostrom Avenue, Princeville, IL 61559. The only scheduled hours that I know of are May-October on Saturdays from 9-11 (and by apptmt). I think the phone number there is (309) 385-1916 but I'm not sure of that, and you might not get an answer. The museum is operated by the Historical Association of Princeville and their mailing address is PO Box 608, Princeville, IL 61559. The phone number given is actually the home phone of one of the principals in the organization - Finch Stowell (309) 385-2394. The quickest way to get information on the museum would probably be to call the 385-2394 number and ask for Finch Stowell. The Historical Association has a website at http://www.museumsusa.org/data/museums/IL/154680.htm. There is also a website on the museum itself at http://www.camp150.com/princeville.html but it doesn't have much info in it, just some photos of the inside of the museum. mel slane ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karen" <karenh_55904@yahoo.com> To: <ILPEORIA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, November 10, 2003 6:54 PM Subject: Re: [ILPEORIA-L] Princeville > Mel, can you give me more info on the museum? > Where it is, if it's open regular hours, etc.? > > Thanks! > Karen Hammer > > > --- Mel Slane <melvinslane1@insightbb.com> wrote: > > > If anyone is doing research that involves > > families from Princeville, be > > aware that there is a museum there that has a > > pretty good collection of > > books, clippings, photos, etc. It's a small > > scale operation so you would > > have to go there in person to do research > > though. > > > > mel slane > > peoria, il > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Sandra Weber" <marana@charter.net> > > To: <ILPEORIA-L@rootsweb.com> > > Sent: Sunday, November 09, 2003 10:56 PM > > Subject: [ILPEORIA-L] Princeville > > > > > > > I have a small book which consists of four > > volumes regarding the History > > of > > > Princeville by the Old Settlers Society.
