I forgot to mention that in addition to the other 1880 entry on the Pursell Pursell (aka Thomas Pursell?) family with Ann KRATZ....next door was EZRA RIDGEWAY...age 29. That would be the little one year old boy in the 1850 census. I would say that this definately makes Ann KRATZ your lady...BUT...now a new mystery develops at to whom and when she married yet another time. I forgot to also mention that I checked..but VERY fast...the Illinois marriage index....but there are a lot of variant spellings of Pursell and Kratz....and for all I know she married under McGee or Ridgeway again. This all needs to be checked. The marriage apparently took place anywhere from 1859 on. While she appeared in the 1870 census under the Purcell or Ridgeway name...can't remember which....it doesn't mean that that was her LEGAL name either....she well could have been married and widowed AGAIN before the 1870 census....and for convenience sake, just went by the name of her children.
