I found a handful, but by no means maybe all, the entries for a CROTZ in 1860 Marshall or Peoria Cos Illinois. CHARLES, LEWIS and WILLIAM CROTZ of Peoria Co Richwoods and Logan twps were too young...all in their mid 30s. Jacob CROTZ of Peoria Co, Chillicothe caught my eye...page 471....as he was in the same twp as Thomas, Amy Purcell and Ann Crotz...and Ezra Ridgeway family. However, he was married (age 45 with a housefull of kids) BUT....then I looked for any body in Marshall Co and found a Jacob Kratz page page 103 of Lacon (sp) township I don't have access to that entry and you may need somebody to look it up for you. It is possible, that Ann married the FATHER of the Jacob Crotz in Peoria Co and they moved there to be near his son...OR..she may just have moved there with her son, Thomas (aka Purcell Purcell)....but in any case...the Marshall Co Jacob Kratz should be checked out.
