Iris, I think Peoria CO. was formed in 1825 and Stark in 1839. John Thank! I know a lot of the information at FamilySearch is not correct, A person out side of our family took it upon himself to put our family information at FamilySearch.com and quite a bit of the information is incorrect. one of many things he has them living Princeville, Stark County, Illinois???, I just wanted to be sure if my family lived in Peoria or Starke County, The H.J.L.McKown and Hugh White Families (White Grove)went to Princeville to live in 1831 and The Joseph Mendell Family in 1836. (Mendell Rd.) according to our Mendell History they all live in Peoria County. I found a Princeville map on the internet but can't see the County lines? I want to have the correct information in my records before I share it with others researching my families.
