Word of mouth via my aunt's 30yr.old letters,surely they spelled the German version of Emily =Emilie OST b.in Strassburg,Alsace-Lorraine in 1876. Brother Emil OST,father John. Can't find her in the IL,Deaths but did find the rest of her family. She married a Louis J.SHREFFLER, they lived on Armstrong St.at her Mom's death in 1944-OCT.
