A fact of interest for Mt. Morris and Ogle Co. researchers: a big piece of Washington Co., MD got transplanted to the Mt. Morris area in 1830's-40's. I have the 1900 edition of Mount Morris: Past and Present (sorry, folks, it doesn't have an index!), and it seems that the news of another arriving family from Washington County was sort of ho-hum.
