    3. Jeannie. I have tried to look at the 1870 Ogle co census. It is very hard to read. So I wrote to the National Census Archives, and the copy they had was just as bad. I normally orger my copies from them. They charge a little bit but it works, Most of my information comes from films, but if I see my direct line in a census record I will ask them for a copy also. It is on big paper and hard to file though. Bryn >>> <ILOGLE-L@rootsweb.com> 5/14/98 4:09:36 PM >>> Hello all, I am trying to find someone on the 1870 Ogle Co census. I went to NARA last weekend and their copy of it stinks. There are pages and pages that are illegible. I got lucky and found several people in areas where the enumerator actually had ink in his pen!! How does the copy look at the library/Gene. Soc.? And is there an index to it? I have access to the Maryland Census from 1800-1860 and can do lookups for anyone who is interested.
