Hi Bryn, I would love to know what you have on the Poffenbergers. I have a glitch in my progress. My Daniel married Mary Malone 1834, she died in 1837. Then there are conflicting opinions. Some say my Daniel married Sophia Palmer, some say he married Barbara Miller. I am on the Barbara side at this point for various reasons. Isn't Fannie P. Myers Sophia's child or grandchild? At the end of the day, they are all related, but I am trying to put my Daniel with his second wife in hopes that will lead me to his parents. If I can look up something for you in Maryland I'd be glad to. By the way, my Daniel's son (with Mary Malone) changed his name from James L. Poff. to George Washington Richardson and moved to MO from IL after the Civil War (Ihave him there in 1881) then on to NE iin 1885 and he died there in 1901. His sister (Margaret) Ellen Poffenberger married Daniel Fouch. Do you know who's child Susan Poffenberger age 11 is? She is living with George Gigous and his wife Mary on the 1870 census.
