Can anyone help me date a photo? I have a picture of my g-g-g-grandmother, Almina Chapel BALLARD. She was born 14 Aug 1835 in Potter Co., PA or Allegany Co., NY(the family lived just a few miles from the state line) Almina migrated to Ogle Co. about 1853/4. Her husband, William BALLARD died 22 Jun 1900. Later that year she moved to Floyd Co., IA to live with her children. The family moved to CA about 1922 and Almina died in Pasadena, 1 Dec 1924. I have a headshot of Almina printed on a hard photographic backing. Printed on the bottom is 'Golditz' and Rochelle, IL. Was Golditz a traveling studio or when did they have a business in Rochelle.
